PALS PLUS Information Management Committee Meeting Minutes: 2017

The Information Management Committee meeting called to order at Clifton Public Library on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 2:20 p.m., by Michael Drazek.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:  July 6, 2017

Old Business:

The meeting originally scheduled for August 3, 2017 had been cancelled.

New Business:

The committee reviewed the online service Precious had recommended, called MockFlow at: https://www.mockflow.com/ as a tool to help, among other things, build websites.  The visualization created at the last meeting had been transferred to MakeFlow.  It was reviewed at the meeting.

Mary had found a website for the Ohio Private Academic Libraries at: http://opal-libraries.org/ that served as a good example of what the committee hopes to ultimately achieve.  The committee looked over the site and discussed the positive and negative points.

Luca had WordPress installed on a test space at: https://pprc.palsplus.org/ on the PALS Plus website in a sub-domain.  The committee looked over the install. It then discussed the potential the platform had to achieve what was desired.

The committee would attempt look at themes on the WordPress install and see if there were any they felt were strong contenders for a base theme.
